I know that you don’t wanna hear
Another sad sad love song
So I’ll try to keep my tears to myself
And I’ll sing with pride ‘bout the times I’ve cried
And shoulder my guitar
And when I’m done, I’ll pack away and find another bar.

For too long now she’s been too strong
But I just couldn’t see
That all while my foolish pride wasn’t only hurting me.
Then today it all got said
And here I am alone.
And I don’t feel much like anything
but I’m so far away from home

I know that you don’t wanna hear
Another sad sad love song
So I’ll try to keep my tears to myself
And I’ll sing with pride ‘bout the times I’ve cried
And shoulder my guitar
And when I’m finished, I’ll pack away and find another bar

It wasn’t easy from the start
Folks wouldn’t let us be
But we clung on to each other’s love
made it thru eventually
But the things that I just wouldn’t say
Kept hurting and got in the way
And now I lie alone again
Regretting every day

I know that you don’t wanna hear
Another sad sad love song
So I’ll try to keep my tears to myself
And I’ll sing with pride ‘bout the times I’ve cried
And shoulder my guitar
And when I’m finished, I’ll pack away and find another bar

So listen to now to what I say
Don’t let good love grow cold
Don’t find yourself alone like
me
Let nothing stay untold
I lost the best thing I’d ever found
But my story’s nothing new
Hold on to her with all your might
And she won’t walk away from you

I know that you don’t wanna hear
Another sad sad love song
So I’ll try to keep my tears to myself
And I’ll sing with pride ‘bout the times I’ve cried
And shoulder my guitar
And when I’m finished, I’ll pack away and find another bar
