‘Sitting on a shooting star as it dies away.
The passion was  too hot, could help but burn it out.
Left cold and alone
And there’s nothing I can say
Gotta face the emptiness ahead
And make it thru the day’

She’s all that I desire
All I’ll ever need
But I held her tighter than I should
If there’s a way back
Lord won’t you show me how
Cos I’ve killed our love
And killed myself
What’s left for me now

If she reached out her heart and let me in
I’d show her who I am
A scared and lonely, frightened boy
Just trying to be a man

All I have, she’s given me
My soul she saved, enlightened me.
The heart I thought was lost for good
She somehow brought to life
She’s loved me more than I deserved
Pulled me out of night.
