you cry for the both of us

your demons so ******* treasonous
ill hold you tight on those dark nights
please live this life in that firelight
remember me
carefree
laughing and dancing
before a black sea

rest your head on my shoulder
ill keep those demons at bay
closer now the nights getting colder
give me your demons we’ll parley

look now
a moody sea conjuring composure
behold her
stars light on that night enfold her

promise me
you’ll be
eternally leading those demons astray
come to me
resting 6 feet under our cherry tree
since they'll search for your tears on my deaths day
but o, i’ll be sheltering you from amidst the stars
where i wait in heaven’s archway

i smile for the both of us
