I need a place in your arms
like the largest diamond
protected by glass, lasers, and guards.

I need a place in your your heart
like a small room
with a large bed
and twenty pillows below a sky-light.

I need a clear path to your head.
Like a red carpet,
V.I.P status,
and velvet ropes.

I need a spot -
the closest one to your chest. Like a reserved parking space
in front of my favorite place to hang out.

I need the warmth of your body
Like a space heater
during a white out.

I need your kiss
like a glass of ice water
after coming inside
from the draining Texas heat.
