Only in July

by bianca-e-rangel

There was a lady who wore a green beanie She knew how to break my heart And so I offered her water But I dared not look in her eyes For fear of seeing her broken smile Even so she thanked me And I closed the door feeling lighter Happy I kept face Once I made it home though I began to cry In the dark Where secretes are easily kept For old ladies And striped orange summer dresses Who still continued to wear green beanies.
