The Beacon at Montrose

I float into the harbor on my skiff There’s calmness on the water, and it’s clear I leave no wake behind me as I drift This vessel ventured safely to the pier My sails are beaten from relentless shear The gales howled tension through my sheets And though the tempest rocked me as I steered The dream of you has guided me to peace For you are sunshine rising in the East You are the lighthouse flashing on the shore I followed you to haven through the seas You saved me from the chaos of the storm I navigate to find what lacks inside And in your waters doubts are cast aside
