There was a fish afraid of drowning,
Afraid of the water that let him live.

He lived his life trying to hold truth
To an irrational fear.

The other fish didn’t know what water was because water was all they knew.

These were the fish that were better off.
They were simple minded but held a faith,

A faith our fish struggled to see
The faith we must have of ourselves.

His doubt of the water led to
A doubt of his own abilities.

If we can not trust something bigger than us
We must trust ourselves.
