They laid a few men off at the factory. Some how that pink slip avoided me. Later I walked to my truck and closed the door. I hung my head and thanked the Lord. I cannot remember how this ship wrecked. Why I am working now from check to check. I cannot look my family in the eyes. They think that that every thing is still fine. I don't ever want a *** of gold. Just be able to work for the bills I owe. Have a food enough for my family to eat. A roof over their head to sleep. I'll work from sunlight to dark. Been a working man since I could walk. Tommorrow I'll go back to that factory. I quess I'll see if Lady Luck will be riding with me.
