You hold me tonight
In your arms so tight
You whisper in my ear
Lies that I wish to hear
It’s not hard to see
What you mean to me
But the sun is quick to rise
And with that my reality dies
You kiss my cheek and say goodbye
What good is it to try?
Should I ask you to stay?
Or watch you leave without a sound?
The door closes and I swear this was the last time
Oh please, I really shouldn’t lie in this rhyme.
