is a funny thing
isn't it?
Right now
is so malleable
and ever-changing.
It is measured
carefully
in the hours we say
I'm having such a great time right now
and in those single
life-changing seconds
when right now
feels like an eternity.
Because it is.
Right now
I believe that this poem is
for me
because
Right now
I have no idea
what's going on.
Right now
I can't believe
I had the audacity
to think that I
had any impact
on what the future holds
for me.

So
Right now
I'll settle for ideas
of what I want my life to be
and maybe
start thinking about
how my life should be
