An addict trembles
He approaches a stranger and mumbles
Yesterday he had a bad tumble
He cares not , he just wants a sip

To some it makes them whole
Makes Some crawl into a hole
While others need it to do their role
But who gave us alcohol

A mum cries, she has lost her young son
A young career never blossoms in the sun
Churches urge the youth the bottle to shun
Contemptuous they are ,its time to have fun

Lovers toast their wine glasses
The industry employes the masses
The government collects its taxes
To be honest alcohol is not all about losses
