Over a counter where we shared our hidden glances
Quick flashes of smiles were the words we couldn’t speak
Time passed days and weeks and shy coy looks were all we need
Those brief pauses that brightened the dull days had left a beautiful stain
Then time we  met when glances and looks desired words to show us the way
The way to that one fine day
Where a stroll and a talk could do more than we once thought

Then time slowed as moments continued to grow
The thought of a kiss hanged heavy on both
Time beat its heavy hand on the door
but a kiss promised us so much more
Then the bell rang and eyes locked
and lips met and time stopped
