blood & poison

the day we met

you seeped

inside my soul

and became

the substance

inside my veins

and arteries

(you became my blood

you are the only thing

that kept me

alive)

the day you left

you were still with me

but you became

the carbon dioxide

that flowed

inside my veins

and arteries

(you became my poison

you are the only thing

that kept me

dying)
