The pain of losing someone
When you open your mouth to scream but it remains
Too far down, too deep to be able to reach your mouth

Do you know pain?
The pain of losing someone
That hurts so bad it can only be felt momentarily
And even then, only when cushioned by soft comforting clouds of warmth and oil

Why?                There is no answer. There is never an answer
If only I had chosen a different path
Then we wouldn’t be here right now

One day I’ll be better
one day may never come

Do you know pain?
The pain of losing someone
I know I do
