A storm of darkness rides the night
With clash of thunder and flash of light
To ears a rumble to eyes a fright
This storm a show of natures might

From deep within the rain will fall
Some only see a passing squall
But look you closer still
For here is natures mighty will
Come stand and feel the building storm
From winters depth such power born

Fear not for what you see
Spring will come to leaf and tree
The sun shall rise as spring days dawn
The earth now begins to warm
From each seed new life will form

Down the sun's rays relentless beat
All the earth it will heat
Long the days have become
So long they seem to blend to one
Feel the sun it's warming cheer
At last it feels like summers here

Colors change on leaf and tree
To fall to earth and feed its need
Days grow short and nights so clear
We all can see that Autumn's here

Life of summer begins to sleep
But life still beats in earth down deep

Now the year's come full around
As rain falls upon the ground
The storm of winter has returned...
