The clouds roll in swollen angry
Billowing as I look out to sea.
East and west.
So.                        Retrace my path to where I was
Searching faces ,skimming along .traces of you to be found in old familiar.places. the hilltops and dives.

Up alley.down gutter
Out to porttals and back again.
The sun is setting now.
Keep the lights burning day and night. To light you back to me.

I cover the waterfront in hopes of finding me.

I was once and still hope to be.
The magic man.with the midas touch. The magic man
Has walked away and now there is only me.

So I. Cover the airways. Depots. Stops and flops.

Seedy and the Ritz.

I cover the waterfront.
I scan the horizon.
I sweep the sky.

I cover the waterfront in hopes that I sail by.
