I've searched for you in the eyes of another.
I've placed others in my arms in Hope's to hold you.
I've searched for you in the bottom of a bottle. In the rythm of a beat. Driving thru this town in my passenger seat.
I've searched for you with my hand held up looking for the L to only turn left so many times when right is the way I wanted to go. I've lost my direction.
Ive gone many places.
And in them all I've searched for you.
In my young age love was closeness and friendship.
That's what I had with you.
As I get older love is benefit and gain.
I've searched for you in friends and benefits.
In gain and pain.
I've searched for you though I know you by name.
