Mystery of me

There is a voice I cannot quiet, It lives inside my heart and mind, Its' song comes out when I cannot hide The Mystery of Me. The Mystery of Me, Longing to set it Free, To open my eyes and aboundingly see. Why does it torment me so? Something I once let go, A part of myself I gave away, And now my Dreams are having their Day. And why does it come now? After all these years and how! Thoughts so powerful that I dare to Dream Things aren't always what they seem. Or is it wondering about what can last, that dreams pick up and create a past? To captivate my spirit and break its fast For the Mystery of Me.
