I lie here,
In the cold, cruel darkness
With only your song as companion.
I hear the tones beckon to me;
Your music wraps around my conscious;
With delight I give myself to it;
Soon, mind is lost from body
As the sound of your melody
Pulls me further away
From the dungeon called reality
To a place of refuge
Made from the warmth of your voice.
And in this transient haven,
I forget the feeling of 'lonely'.
