I ask myself
Is there more that meets the eye
In the pursuit of happiness
Do I cry
If I am glad
Or I am rife with sadness that rings in my temple
Like a block of ice broken against a hammer
The deeper I get
The colder and harder it is
So, I say is there more than that meets the eye
It is all a figment of the ember of your imagination
Melting the ice into a trickling stop
