Then I realised
I saw it
From the corner of my eyes
Lost in bewilderment
I smiled in a split second
Million wishes in mind
Only three at mouth
Eyes in the sky
Thoughts in the wild
I felt a cold evening breeze
sweep over my face
To paint its image on my mind
Head so bright
Tail so long and right
I wished it lasted a second longer
I blinked
Empty sky and unbothered stars
Smiling moon and its beautiful rays
I saw
Then I realised what it was
A shooting star
Many of us see the shooting star and because its phenomenal we always wish it lasts a second longer but it goes very fast even before some of us wish for something
