I am the flame,
I am the fire.

Sparked from chaos,
Fed off hate,
I can either illuminate your path,
And guide you through the darkness,
Or destroy your life,
Engulfing everything you hold dear in my fiery glow.

I am the flame,
I am the fire.

Admire me at a distance,
Just don't touch me,
I leave scars,
But time heals everything.

I am the flame,
I am the fire,

When the time comes,
I will flicker and dim,
Nothing left but,
Glowing hot coals,
But I will not be forgotten,
For the dark, musky smoke that rises ,
Up from my remains,
Bathes everything in,
The unforgettable scent,
Of fire.
