If I were to go to another world
What would you say to me then?
That my world was coming to an end!
If only the children who heard the calling
Were chosen, what would you say to me then?
Save as many as you can of them.
Of all the major catastrophes we’ve experienced
In the past and those recently;
Of all the events that are now occurring
That which we blindly take for granted—
We have not opened our eyes to see
That when we do it will be too late for us to flee.
When does anyone learn a mistake?
When the mistake has already been committed.
And how many mistakes does it take for us
To finally learn?
As many mistakes is takes us to burn.
And who shall pay for our mistakes, the ones
That we didn’t learn?
Our children and their children and
Their children for generations to come!
