Here's to the kids
Who lay in bed at night thinking of what used to be
Here's to the kids
Who feel the bitter kiss of unrequited love
Here's to the kids
Who feel so sad they express it through scars
On their porcelain skin

Here's not the kids
Who feel the warm embrace of their lover
But to the kids
Who never have
Here's not to the kids
Who spend their days laughing with friends
But to the kids
Who lay awake hearing nothing but the loneliness
That ravages their souls

This is for the kids
With nothing but loneliness and sadness
This is for the kids
Who don't want to wake up

Just remember
There will be a day when you are happy
There will be a day when you feel loved
There will be a day the scars are healed
Maybe not always physically but emotionally
There will be a day you feel the warm embrace
Of your lover as you fall asleep

Live for that day.
