Robots
They can’t feel
Can’t cry
Can’t get hurt
Can’t get the hiccups
They don’t comfort people when they’re sad
Don't have brains
Especially ones that go to mush around 12

It seems
You’re not a robot
you’ve done all of the above

Not everyone
is good at expressing their emotions
Not everyone tells the world
That they shed a tear
Some tell nobody and watch as it piles up
More and more
Till they burst

No one
Shows they care the exact same way
So even if they say
That it doesn’t look like you care
even though you know you do
They can’t see it exactly like you
And that’s ok

If they
Make you feel like you’ve done something wrong
Feel as If you in yourself are just wrong
Wrong to be here
Wrong to feel as you do
Let me tell you
You’re not

Since it’s been proven
That you are in fact
Human
I can safely say
That feelings are here to stay

They’re here to stay
No matter how much you tell them
“go away!”
No matter how much you try
To numb your brain
It won’t work

Seeing as you’re human
And I am too
Perhaps I could help you
If you would help me too
