May 2020
The waves of sorrow lash against me
As I stand deserted, forlorn
The waves foam ashore the thorny memories
Of my afflicted yesteryears in agony
The sores of my grim past pulses with a keener sting
The solitude beckons me to its lap
It offers solace and refuge in its eternity
As I wait to embrace the solitude.
Suddenly the balmy breeze soothes and blows by
The fatigued sun is all set to merge with the sea
As it waves its hands to plunge in a slumber
Could I wish to see another daylight
Arising out of the sea with the day of hope and happiness?
