Everytime You Call Me

Everytime you call me,

I hear the same old ring.

Instantly I smile.

as I listen to you sing.

Everytime you call me,

I feel the same old shame.

To hear your voice once again,

brings back hurtful pain.

Everytime you call me,

I see another open door.

behind the door are old memories,

that make me miss you even more.

Everytime you call me,

I make a bad mistake.

I fall for you once again,

with a chance I'm willing to take.

Everytime you call me,

I hurt another friend.

So when it comes to loving you,

it's my friends I must defend.
