Complacency
“Complacency”
One day
we will pay
The price of freedom
the price of love
For we see them not
till they are gone
Like shadows we sought
to hold them to long
When bells ring
and people sing
The night will come
to blacken the sun
While cadence of war
makes the world so poor
Our reasons are wrong
like an evening dawn
Now we look
at what we took
Seeing the cost
we mourn the lost
