Apr 2020
empty roads
and solitary houses
muddy creeks
their rippling currents
flowing softly
to the marshy swamp
pooling and dripping
and soaking deep into the rich soil
ribbons of grass
sprouting from the creamy earth
kissed softly
by hazy sun rays
emanating from
grey cotton clouds
that blanket the sky
and hug the mountaintops
charcoal cormorans
perch on the branch
of a tree submerged
by the still pond
that mirrors the earth
