Once upon Afor market day,
Goatskin bags, red caps and Isi agu congregated.
Conjured the gods;
give us a breed
The strength of a lion
The legs of a cheetah
The brains of a tortoise
As meek as a dove
Years down the lane
Dreams down the grain
16th of April
My ancestors' dream came through
Happy birthday to me.
