It lay there

Rip my heart out, throw it to the ground Swear to never let it make another sound Forever forget the way things used to be During that season when you loved me I left it to lay there, quivering and cold Never allowing to let another to hold And walked away with a hole in my chest Knowing it would be safe for once at rest
