I swore an oath
I took a pledge
I salute your casket
Goodbye, my friend

You took your life
You left your wife
It wasn’t right to leave that night

Eternal darkness is what awaits, the inevitable fate

Your trampled spirit
Your wasted youth
Your hopes and dreams
Gone too soon

Your memory thrives
In the back of my mind

You ripped us apart
You brought us together
Goodbye today
Goodbye forever
