Humans
Dear Humans
Where have you gone
We haven't heard
From you in so long
Things sure are different
Than they were yesterday
You've put all your notes
And your telescopes away
We can't rhyme
Trapped in space and time
You've put on another face
And you should see
Our spaceship shine
Dear Humans
We're still here
But we really don't want
To go down there
You always thought
We would destroy
The human race
Our hands are clean
We haven't left our place
Dear Humans
We saw a satellite float away
And it reminded us
To send this message today
We can't rhyme
Trapped in space and time
You've put on another face
And you should see
Our spaceship shine
Dear Humans
We have the blues
Were tired of being
Yesterday's news
What would it take
For you to look into the sky
With tears in our eyes
You can see us wave goodbye
We can't rhyme
Trapped in space and time
You've put on another face
And you should see
Our spaceship shine
