To disappear
Into thin air
One has to remind themselves
Of the frenzy of fustian-clad prisoners
Who sail through years
Who will find traces
Of pale clouds
Through the wrought iron gates
Of freedom
All they think
And feel
Is the sun will come out
Of it's slumber
As the wind begins to howl
Tomorrow will bring tomorrow
Nowadays the bleakness
Calls to me and scowls
At our situation
There shall be no brighter day
Today is our last one
You must change your life
Or disappear into thin air
Like a kite
That doesn't feel the pull
Of the Earth and the seas
You must learn to leave behind things
As cannonballs leave behind broken houses
And broken families
You must change your life
Whether in isolation
Or love and forgiveness
As I hold my chest
