I decided to go out,
And look up with these twinkling eyes
The midnight sky is what I see,
showcasing its beauty once again.

I smiled as I stare and imagine what’s above
The moon, the stars, the planets inside galaxies
And then the universe, suddenly dropped one of its stars.
I shut my eyes quickly and quietly wish.

It is you whom I wished for
It is you that I want to explore the moon with
It is you, my brightest star
It is you, my only universe

I ponder such wonder.
What if we explore those mysterious galaxies?
Interstellar travel, hands intertwined
Like how Peter Pan held Wendy’s hands.

And then we stop and land, touchdown.
We’ve reached the end of the universe.
We stayed at this beautiful yet unknown planet.
And then I opened my eyes to end this story.

This will never ever happen to us.
Yes you are my universe but I’m not yours.
So I decided to enter my dark gloomy room
And slowly closed the door with a sad smile.
