Maybe one day I'll fly
How does one love a bird
who is locked in a cage,
unable to do what it does best?
How do such lovely creatures
sing all day and night
despite seeing that their freedom
is just outside a window.
How do so many wings fly
through the cerulean sky
knowing one day
their wings will be unable to carry them?
