Take me to the seaside
We can talk it all out
While the salt sticks to your skin
The azure waves matching your eyes
Let’s walk to the meadow
And lay upon the grass,
Your fingers interlocking mine.

He brought her to the seaside
on a day in December
the salt stuck to her skin --
He’ll always remember.

Azure waves matched the hue of his eyes
inside of them she saw pain
She’d do anything to take away the hurt
the thought made her cry.

All too quickly the sky filled with grey.
