May 2013
He was like the most perfect wave I'd ever seen
Surging towards me with breath-taking strength
I wanted to run
But not forward or away
So I just stood there
Like a statue
With the sand beneath my feet
Turning to stone
Watching him come

With fear pushing me back
And the mystery of his thrilling unpredictability tugging me in
I was wondering if he could be the wave of my life
Or one that inflicts upon me thorough and unnecessary pain

I'm still wondering if he is worth the risk
Yet unless I go I'll always by tortured with wondering if
I am consumed by fascination
In this moment I can't close my eyes
He's so dangerous
I can't figure out if I know who he is

Now I'm finding fire beneath me
Inspired by the beauty up ahead
I will not grow cold in the grip of fear
And how could I live the same way ever again

For one second it's like the toughest fight of my life
And now I'm falling inside
Light as a feather
I'm a part of something bigger
I didn't even realize I was searching until He found me
