Lights Out

We walk around as if we grasp eternity

By the hand, walking step by step with forever

Trapped between our sweaty palms that

Leak light through to brighten our future-

Until we discover eternity slyly slipped away

From our blissful present being

Only to leave us in the dark of

Nothingness.
