Love is an exercise in game theory
A modern day prisoner’s dilemma:
To be faithful or not, to cooperate or to defect.

I
Naive and inexperienced
Saw but one option:
Unequivocal faith… cooperation.

She
A veteran of the game,
built the payoff matrix,
saw but one option.

I
Sit here alone,
A logician by trade,
A prisoner of my mind
Serving my extended sentence.

She
Free as a bird
Having mastered the game,
Continues to play

I guess love is a game
