i notice my face
and the lines that are new
and i wonder if sometimes
we all feel a bit blue
about the shapes our mouths make
when happy or sad
and how that affects
the way our skin sags
and if that's not enough
we make it taboo
to love ourselves without creams
that are anti-aging infused
so how about this
- we stop giving a care
and see how it feels
to throw our ***** in the air
and walk down the street
knowing your worth
cannot be determined
by those who are hurt
because that is the root
of society's shame
around loving ourselves
the way we were made
so please take time
to heal those thoughts
and be kind to yourself
when the world is not
