Into darkness we love to stare,
Knowing only ghosts shall we find,
Yet of that we are aware,
As our heart bleeds through time.

Why are you so far away?

Specters of those who took or left,
Frozen pictures we'll always see,
With translucent moves so deft,
Inside we scream, "Let us be."

Why are you like this everyday?

Through years they reach to still yet drain,
As we crouch in the dark,
All we've fought to create in vain,
And keep us in pain so stark.

Farewell, of you I shall pray.

Another gone, unable to see through or eyes,
That them we did love,
Even held them above,
But made more distant now because of,
Another scribe with no care only whys.
