Girl by the River

Trapped in a place Where nothing exists anymore Nothing good or right Nothing is in store For the girl by the river We're old memories flow Drifting around With nowhere to go Hiding behind The mask that she holds Trying to escape The unbreakable mold Of the cage she is held in With nowhere to go But the girl by the river Can't find a way to say no She can't get away To find the key That gives her freedom For a new place to see.
