Sometimes I wonder
If it’s healthy
To forgo romantic interest
To preserve a strong ever blooming friendship?

The moments I can get you off my mind
The moments are short
But I can unwind

I wonder if I talk too much
You always respond
And talk
But you never engage
And you’re far from the shy type

Both of us are self-identifying loners
Maybe over-thinking is my plight
Hindsight’s 20/20
Patience is a virtue

I wonder if it’s a good idea to test myself
And let weeks pass without talking to
See what ( if anything) happens

Busy is the way to be
So busy I’ll be
I’ve no right to feel these feelings
So quickly
