On mind and soul
You’ll never know
Just how much this
Takes a toll

You can lead as many lives as you want
But you only die once
Who’s the memory left to?
Those in mourning
Or your spirit
Now free and meandering?
Because thoughts in passing
Are nothing more than
The passing of thoughts
That build a greater shared experience

Don’t mourn a loss
Gain closure in solace
Doves can fly too close to the sun
But passion fuels strength and notion
