Judge me gently,
Oh, passing time,
For I’ve yet to learn
Your resilience.
I long to let go,
And live, and thrive,
But am far too generous
In my lenience.
And all these words,
Though honest and true,
Sadly no result will bring;
For I know that it’s
Me
Who has to act
If peace I desire to sing.
