May 2013
I am starring blankly at the water;
the gentle ripples gracing against the surface.
Sunlight illuminating the river,
making it glow like
a child's face on Christmas morning.
It is beautiful and calm;
filling me with tranquility.
I came here to try to
remember you
and try to forget that you are gone
The river is not only passing over my feet
   but is flowing through my eyes.
