I want to understand
An explanation exists
But you're the only one who has it
And it's gripped firmly by your fists

We talk and we talk
Now and then I get a peek
Of your piece of paper
With the answers that I seek

Though now I've grown tired
So I asked if I could see
But the ink spells terrible things clearly
Because you've put it in a safe, and thrown away the key
I tried for as long as I could
Told myself 'Fin, just leave it be'
But no, I need to understand you
And why you're doing this to me.
