Fancy Nancy
   Went to the ball
Wearin' high-heeled shoes
   And lookin' real tall,

When in walked a beggar
    Lookin' for help,
When no one came forward
    He started to yelp,

And poor Fancy Nancy,
    She got all disconcerted,
She threw off her shoes
    And the ball she deserted.
