I hold you close to me
Wishing you were mine
Every time you weren't
Just a pic of you stays inside

But, you never give up
So I leave it
Without a kiss on the doorstep
Only the promise of being read stays

Your words are on my lips, though
Because we look far and wide
My letter tells me you kissed it instead
I miss you, that's why

Written in the back is a poem too
Addressed to dear you

My letter exudes poetry
When you carry inspiration in your mind
Penning a new copy
For a simple last letter
It feels good to be read
Line by line
For the last time
